Terms of Service
Last updated November 5, 2026
Bagel is run by Aaron Wertman ("we"). These terms cover using Bagel to run your construction business ("you"), and your clients and subcontractors using the pages you share with them. By creating an account, you agree to them.
Bagel is in beta
During the beta, Bagel is free for invited testers, and we may change or end the beta at any time (we'll give you notice and a way to download your documents).
Bagel is new and still changing. Features may change, and things may occasionally break. We work hard to keep your data safe and backed up, but please keep your own copies of anything critical (contracts, signed change orders, invoices: each can be printed or saved as a PDF).
Your account
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account and your team's.
- Owners of a company account decide who is on the team and can remove people.
- Give accurate information, and only add clients and subcontractors you actually work with.
You stay in charge of your work
- Bagel's AI drafts estimates, schedules and change-order wording as suggestions. Check every price, date and word before you send anything to a client. You're responsible for what you send.
- Bagel's contract and change-order templates are a plain-language starting point, not legal advice. Make sure they meet the rules where you work (licensing, required notices, right to cancel).
- Clients pay you directly, outside Bagel. Bagel doesn't handle or hold your clients' money.
- Bagel is software only. It isn't a party to your contracts, change orders, selections or any other agreement with your clients or subcontractors, and doesn't supervise or guarantee any work.
For clients and subcontractors
If a contractor shared a Bagel page with you, your agreement (for the work, its price and schedule) is with that contractor, not with us. Questions about the work go to them. These terms still apply to how you use the page: don't misuse it, and keep the private link to yourself.
Your data is yours
Everything you put in Bagel (jobs, files, client details, messages) belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Bagel for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask us to delete your company's data at any time.
Fair use
Don't use Bagel for anything illegal, to send spam, to upload anything you don't have the right to share, or to try to break into or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Price and cancelling
Bagel is $99 a month per company after a 14-day free trial, with no per-person fees. Beta testers may be given free access. Payments are handled by Stripe. You can cancel any time from the Plan page; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and your jobs stay readable afterwards.
Limits
Bagel is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses (such as lost profits or delays on a job), and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
Changes
We may update these terms as Bagel grows. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
